Arnoldsburg volunteer fireman Bob Lynch was laid to rest yesterday at the Gibson Cemetery above the West Fork. Lynch, 57, died March 26th after a struggle with cancer. He was a lifelong resident of Arnoldsburg, having lived on Jesse's Run for over 30 years.

Firemen proceeded the hearse with a pumper truck, and members of the department served as pallbearers.

Funeral Director John Stump listens to
"last call" as it echoes across valley

The "last call" was transmitted over Calhoun's 911 frequency, sounding the tone for the Arnoldsburg department and remembering his service to the department and the community.

The signal and voice echoed over the West Fork valley in mid-afternoon - "He had a kind and caring heart, extended to all who knew him...He is now living with our Lord and Savior..."
