BECKLEY TEEN SHOT/KILLED - Police say a 18-year-old Beckley resident died early Monday morning at a Charleston hospital after being shot Sunday night.

Beckley police said the shooting occurred at around 9:20 p.m. in the 500 block of Terrill Street. The victim was taken to Raleigh General Hospital and then on to Charleston Area Medical Center.

He was a student at Woodrow Wilson High School in Beckley.

Police said there was a vehicle involved and it was found in the Fayette Street area of Beckley.

The victim’s name has not been released. There is a person of interest in the case.

HARRISON SHOOTING - One person was transported to the hospital by helicopter following a reported shooting in Harrison County on Saturday.

At approximately 11:15 on Saturday night, first responders were alerted to a reported shooting at the Wilsonburg BFS, according to the Reynoldsville Volunteer Fire Department’s Facebook page.

HealthNet Aeromedical transported a patient to Ruby Memorial Hospital. The patient’s injuries have not been released at this time.

The Reynoldsville Volunteer Fire Department, Harrison County EMS and County and State Police responded to the reported shooting.
