Linda Mae Norman, 64 of Shock

Linda Mae Norman, 64 of Shock WV, departed this earthly life in the early morning hours of Monday, April 19, 2021 at the Braxton County Memorial Hospital in Gassaway WV, following a sudden illness.

She was born October 25, 1956 in Akron OH, daughter of the late Robert and Emma Zent Smith.

Linda is a graduate of Field High School, class of 1975 in Brimfield OH. She worked as a house keeper in the Hotel industry for many years, having worked at the Glenville Inn, and the Days Inn at Flatwoods.

In her spare time, Linda enjoyed working at the Rosedale Senior Center, tending to her flowers, working in her yard, spending time with family and friends, and cooking pancakes and brownies for the kids.

She was a Christian by faith and attended the Shock Church of Christ.

On December 7, 1996 Linda was united in marriage to Stanley W. Norman, who survives at their home on Tanner Fork Road.

Surviving is her sister, Rebecca Kumala (Jeff) of Brimfield OH; a son, Johnny Morrison of Akron OH; a niece, Brenda, and nephew, Brandon; A step-child, Michelle Hamilton (Mark) of Newton Falls OH; step-grandkids, Morgan, Justin, and Ethan Lowry; a special friend, Janet Spencer of Duck WV; and her loving dog, Mandy.

Along with her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her son, Robert Morrison.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary and Cremation Services, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville WV, at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2021 with Pastor Vernon Kerns officiating. Burial will follow in the Collins Community Cemetery in Stumptown WV. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Friday at the mortuary in Glenville.

In accordance with the mandates set forth by the State of West Virginia, masks or some kind of facial covering must be worn inside the mortuary establishment and social distancing must be observed.
