SUNDAY WV COVID-19 REPORT - 370 NEW CASES, DEMAND FOR VACCINE DROPS

WV has supply of COVID-19 vaccine with few arms to inject.

The state was once leading the nation with vaccinations.

State health officials confirmed five coronavirus-related deaths in West Virginia on Sunday.

West Virginia also added 370 new positive cases, increasing the active case total slightly to 7,390. The overall positive test rate dropped from 5.21% to 5.20% while the daily positive test rate came in at 4.30%.

As of Saturday, there were 232 residents hospitalized with the virus, including 60 in intensive care and 20 people on ventilators.
