SUNDAY WV COVID-19 REPORT - 350 NEW CASES

Health officials in West Virginia confirmed 350 new COVID-19 cases Sunday along with two more virus-related deaths.

The active case total in West Virginia increased by nearly 100 to 6,851 on Sunday while the overall positive test rate remained at 5.24%. The daily positive test rate came in at 5.56%.

As of Saturday, hospitalizations from the virus were at 259, including 80 people in intensive care and 24 people on ventilators.

More than 528,000 West Virginians have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccines while 353,361 have been fully vaccinated.
