| State Police and the Calhoun Sheriffs Department responded to Sycamore Road Tuesday evening about 6 pm to what was reported to be a domestic violence situation.
Reports indicated that a 30-year-old male struck a 25-year-old female, after which the male fled from the scene.
Officers were continuing to look for the man.
Later Tuesday night, 911 received a call indicating that a suspicious male was at Chi-Tis Convenience Store just east of Grantsville, also indicating they believed hearing a gunshot.
State and county law enforcement responded to that scene, and were at the establishment for some time.
