FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR CALHOUN/REGION STARTING SATURDAY NIGHT

(02/28/2021)
FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING...

Multiple rounds of rain are expected to pass over the region during the period with 2 to 4 inches possible, depending on location.

Most of the rain will be runoff, and small creeks, streams, and rivers will see significant rises Saturday night through Sunday night.

High water issues may develop in low lying and poor drainage areas as well. In the highest elevations of the West Virginia mountains, a melting snowpack will add to the rainfall amounts over time with a high moisture content airmass possibly reaching the 50 degree mark on Sunday.
