THURSDAY WV COVID-19 REPORT - 431 NEW CASES

Five deaths and 431 new cases have been reported within the last 24 hours in connection to the coronavirus.

There appears to be about six new cases in Calhoun this week.

About 10% of West Virginians have received the vaccine. About 85% of all US citizens need to be immunized need to receive the vaccine to have herd immunity.

According to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR), as of February 25, 2021, there have been 2,147,276 total confirmatory laboratory results received for COVID-19, with 130,813 total cases and 2,290 total deaths.

There are 8,020 active cases.

120,503 people have recovered.

277,182 first doses of the vaccine have been given and 175,181 people are fully vaccinated.
