The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources confirmed 243 new COVID-19 cases and 11 additional deaths in its report on Wednesday.

The DHHR confirmed 285 new COVID-19 cases and 11 additional deaths in its report on Tuesday.

The report from the DHHR stated that as of 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 24, there have been a total of 2,135,914 (+8,348) laboratory results received for COVID-19, with 130,382 (+243) total cases and 2,285 (+11) of those cases resulting in deaths.

According to the DHHR’s COVID-19 dashboard, there are currently 8,067 (-461) active cases and 120,030 (+693) recovered cases in the state.

According to the dashboard, as of Wednesday morning, 273,391 (+1,384) first doses of the vaccine have been administered, and 169,832 (+1,879) people have been fully vaccinated.
