FRIDAY WV COVID-19 REPORT - 295 New Cases, 11 Deaths

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources confirmed 295 new COVID-19 cases and 12 additional deaths in its report on Friday.

The DHHR confirmed 355 new COVID-19 cases and 11 additional deaths in its report on Thursday.

The report from the DHHR stated that as of 10 a.m. on Friday, February 19, there have been a total of 2,099,685 (+9,283) laboratory results received for COVID-19, with 129,055 (+295) total cases and 2,248 (+12) of those cases resulting in deaths.

According to the DHHR’s COVID-19 dashboard, there are currently 9,624 (-464) active cases and 117,183 (+747) recovered cases in the state. This is the first time West Virginia’s active case total has been below 10,000 since November 14, 2020, according to the dashboard.
