Norma Lou Harper, 84, of Spencer

Norma Lou Harper, 84, of Spencer, passed away, Tuesday, February 2, 2021.

She was born October 8, 1936 at Spencer, the daughter of the late Donzel R. and Golda M. Ferrell Westfall.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband of 66 years, Robert Russell Harper April 5, 2020; a brother and sister-in-law, Arden Ray and Shirley Jackson Westfall; brothers-in-law, Albert Keaton and Chuck Leeson; paternal grandparents, Walker and Roxie Tanner Westfall; maternal grandparents, Romie and Hattie Harris Ferell.

Norma was a former clerk at Stahlman’s Fabric Shop. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Spencer since 1986 and the Roane General Hospital Auxiliary since 1975.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald “Ronnie” and Terrie Ann Harper of Spencer; grandchildren, Rodney Wayne (Amy) Harper, Justin Adam Harper and Andrea Nicole Harper; great grandson, Dylan Logan Harper; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Lee (Judy) Westfall of Georgia, Ivan Eugene “Bud” (Ollie) Westfall of Cottageville and Larry Wayne (Katherine) Westfall of Florida; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley (Gerald) Sheppard of Spencer, Donna Sue Keaton of Florida, Rita Jean (Sherman) Winter of Indiana and Peggy Ann Leeson of Ohio; 21 nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 6 at Eventide Cemetery, Spencer, with Rev. George Chandler officiating. The visitation will be one hour before the service at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer.

Family and friends planning to attend the service are reminded to observe the COVID-19 guidelines for public gatherings.
