Donald Ross Mathewson, 61, of Spencer WV died Friday, January 29, 2021, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, after a brief illness.
He was born May 8, 1959, in Calhoun County, the son of the late Ross E. and O. Marie Parsons Mathewson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Roland, Larry and John; sisters, Mary Lou, Pearl and Mable.
Survivors include sons, Andrew Mathewson and Daniel Mathewson; stepson, Ryan Jersey; daughter, Anna Rose Mathewson; granddaughter, Mariana Mathewson; brothers, David Mathewson, Alfred (Patty) Mathewson, George (Lynn) Mathewson and Russell (Debbie) Mathewson; sisters, Linda (Cliff) Short, Rosemary Harrell Angie Detweiler and Estella; several nieces and nephews.
Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 4 at John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Daniel R. "Danny" Whited officiating. Burial will be in Eventide Cemetery, Spencer. The visitation will be one hour before the funeral.
