| Dana Lynn Shimer, 61, of Annamoriah WV, passed away January 25, 2021 at Camden Clark Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late Lew B. and Nancy L. Hupp Moore. Born in Parkersburg WV, she graduated from Parkersburg High School with the class of 1977 and attended PCC, now WVU-Parkersburg.
Mrs. Shimer worked in the insurance/medical billing field, most recently at Schwendeman Agency, at Grantsville Clinic â Minnie Hamilton Health System and was a member of Teamsters Local 175, Charleston. She loved to golf with her many friends, as an avid fan of the Mountaineers loved to attend WVU sporting events. A Methodist by faith, she had a smile that brightened the day and a laugh that was like music.
She is survived by her loving husband Mathew A. Shimer, whom she married August 17, 2002; her step-children Samantha Shimer of Washington DC, Patrick Shimer of Parkersburg, and Adrianne Shimer of Morgantown; siblings Lisa Moore of Raleigh NC, Mitchell Moore of Vernonhill VA, Tyler Moore of Alpharetta GA; her aunt Eva Wilson of Parkersburg and many beloved nephews and nieces.
There will be a visitation Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. with a private family only service to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth.
