Tammy Tallhamer, 56 of Cox's Mills WV, departed this earthly life on Sunday January 24, 2021 at the Camden-Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg WV, following a brief illness.
She was born June 13, 1964 in Elyria OH, daughter of the late Parker E. "Park" and Wilma Langford Tallhamer.
Tammy is a graduate of Gilmer County High School, class of 1982. She is a former employee of the Glenville Foodland and the United Summit Center. In her spare time she enjoyed making crafts, crocheting, cooking, and spending time and spoiling her grandson whenever possible.
Surviving is her loving son, Michael A. Shiflet and wife Leslie of Coxâs Mills; a grandson, Lucas Shiflet of Coxâs Mills; and 5 siblings Mildred "Millie" Plifka and husband Gene of Charlotte NC, Parker E. "Gene" Tallhamer II, Rusty Tallhamer and wife Grace, and Norman Tallhamer all of Glenville WV, and Tina Miller and husband Craig of Shock WV.
Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at the Turner Cemetery near Lockney WV, at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2021 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating.
