Robert Earl Wiggins, 65, of Linn

Robert Earl Wiggins, 65 of Ellis Road, Linn WV, went to be with his lord and savior in the late afternoon hours of Monday, January 18, 2021 at his home with his loving wife Cora, daughter Amber, and granddaughter Elainia by his side.

He was born January 5, 1956 in Harrellville NC, son of the late Samual E. and Winnie Sewell Wiggins.

Robert was the life of the party with his deep southern accent and his love for people. Robert had a passion for history especially the Civil War. He loved the lord and read the bible often. He also spent many years in many states working for H & H Railroad.

On November 3, 2007 Robert was united in marriage to the love of his life Cora Persinger Wiggins, who survives at their Ellis Road home.

Surviving are 2 children, Amber Shackleford (Jesse) of Churchville WV and Skylar Arbogast of Dallas TX who he raised as his own; 3 grandchildren, Elainia, Alan, and Jesse Lee Shackleford all of Churchville; and 2 siblings, Linda Horton (Earl) of North Carolina, and Edward Wiggins (Lynette) of Virginia.

Also surviving are 2 nephews, 1 niece, several other family members and close friends that he always thought of as brothers, Frank Montgomery, James Stump, and Mack and Ann Powell.

A graveside service will be conducted at the McHenry II Cemetery near Sand Fork WV at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Friends will be received from 11:00-1:00 Thursday at the Ellyson Mortuary in Glenville WV.

In accordance with the mandates set forth by the State of West Virginia, masks or some kind of facial covering must be worn inside the mortuary establishment and social distancing must be observed.
