Clarence Ray Lane, 87, of Spencer WV was called to join the angels on December 28, 2020, and passed peacefully in his sleep.
He was born December 19, 1933, a son of the late Sam & Ammie (Keener) Lane.
He, "Ray", loved to fish and spent many years with a fishing pole in his hands. "Pappy" loved his many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He served in the military and spent time in Germany and was a cook. He often would cook great meals for the family and especially loved to cook wild game dishes, rabbit, squirrel, and deer.
Now he will Rest in Peace with those near and dear to him, whom have gone before him including his parents and son Duane Ray Lane.
He is survived by his children Junior Evans, June Beach, Roger "Allen" Hall, Danny Lane, Michael Hall, Karen Beechler, Larry Lane and Jan Bressler. He leaves 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted by Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg WV on Monday, January 4, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Orma UMC Cemetery. Masks and social distancing are required.
