| Joseph N. Mattis, 81, of Spencer, W.Va., died December 24, 2020, at the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, W.Va.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Myers; son, Joe (Valerie) Mattis; granddaughters, Zoe (Josh) and Abby.
Joe was well known for his knowledge of antiques, especially art glass and art deco. Anyone who met him knew he loved living in West Virginia and his home. He was an avid reader of philosophy and followed the writings of Don Miguel Ruiz. He practiced the âFour Agreementsâ: Be impeccable with your word; Donât take anything personally; Donât make assumptions; Always do your best.
There will be a celebration of his life on his birthday in March.
