BRAXTON MAN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER - Victim Grazed On Chin From Rifle

Braxton authorities arrested Dennis Moyer Samples, 68, and charged him Tuesday with attempted murder. The criminal complaint says Dennis Moyer Samples aimed and shot at Gregory Samples while at the residence of Darlena Samples on Keeners Ridge, Strange Creek. The complaint says that one round struck Gregory Samples on the chin, grazing him. State Police said warrants were being issued for attempt to commit a felony, more specifically "murder in the first." He is in Central Regional Jail. Braxton authorities arrested a John Doe, age 43, charging him with public intoxication, disruption of governmental process, obstructing and officer and littering. He is in Central Regional Jail.
