SUSPECT DEAD IN STAND OFF - West Virginia State Police said a suspect is dead in a standoff situation in Wayne County.

State Police said the situation started as a domestic violence call Friday morning with a man armed with an AR-15 in a camper on Whites Creek Road in Wayne.

Troopers identified the man as Randy Ward, 34, of Wayne County.

Troopers said Ward had left a house and went to the camper and refused to leave. They said he fired one shot at officers. State Police said they had to use deadly force.

FAIRMONT SHOTS FIRED - Shots were fired Thursday night after police were serving an arrest warrant in Fairmont.

According to emergency officials, the Fairmont Police Department were serving an arrest warrant in the area of Alta Vista and Morgantown Avenues at approximately 7:13 p.m.

Marion County 911 officials explained that the suspect was barricaded, and shots were then fired.

West Virginia State Police are investigating. There is no word at this time as to if any injuries resulted from this altercation.
