WALKER-ARTHUR COUNTY COMMISSION RECOUNT CERTIFIES WALKER WIN

Calhoun Commission candidate Craig Arthur (Independent) requested a recount of his race against Matt Walker (Republican), the origina1 canvass saying Walker won by 44 votes.

The two day recount concluded late Friday, with the recount certifying the same numbers as the original canvass, with Walker winning by 44 votes - Walker 1085-Arthur 1041.

A representative from the WV Secretary of State's office attended the recount to assure transparency.

Commission president Chip Westfall thanked the recount team for their dutiful service - Melissa Hixon, Nicki Clark, Pam Gainer, and Anita West.
