SUPERINTENDENT WHYTSELL SAYS COVID-19 IN CALHOUN SCHOOLS - Reports Indicate COVID-19 Little Kanawha Christian School

Calhoun Superintendent of Schools Kelli Whytsell said Sunday, "In an effort to be transparent with the community and also respect the privacy of our students, we want to inform you that Calhoun County Schools has been notified that we have 1 positive and 3 probable student COVID cases."

Whytsell said while contact tracing is being conducted Pleasant Hill School grades Pre-K thru 4th and the 10th grade at Calhoun Middle High School, will be on remote learning.

Whytsell said if your child was a close contact, you will be contacted by School Nurse Trudi Anderson, the public will be updated as information becomes available to us. 

"We are in touch with the MOVHD and will be following the health department's guidance," Whytsell said.

Reports indicate new COVID-19 cases at the Little Kanawha Christian School, the school reportedly closed to in-person learning.

"We are a close school family and will continue to provide whatever assistance we can safely provide to them during this time. Thank you for your support of Calhoun County Schools, our students, and the school community. Together we can get through these challenging times by continuing to support each other," Whytsell concluded.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Calhoun Schools will be doing a food/book/computer/ distribution at Pleasant Hill School on Tuesday, November 17 from 11:00-1:00.

They will be doing a food distribution for the 10th grade during the virtual food distribution on Wednesday, November 18th from 11:00-1:00.

Calhoun County Schools would like to invite you to a Drive-Thru Community Thanksgiving meal on Tuesday, November 24th, from 11:00-1:00 at Calhoun Middle/High School. You do not need to be enrolled in school to receive a meal. This will be available while meals last.
