WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - Three Shot In Kanawha Bar, Bloody Murder Arrests

(11/16/2020)
KANAWHA SHOOTING - Deputies in Kanawha County are investigating after three people arrived at local hospitals with gunshot wounds early Sunday morning.

The shooting occurred during an altercation among a large group of people outside Big Shots bar in Jefferson, according to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.

The first of the three victims arrived at a hospital about 4:20 a.m., deputies said. While the injuries are serious, none are believed to be life-threatening.

BLOODY MURDER ARRESTS - Two additional people have been arrested in connection with a murder investigation in Mason County earlier this week.

Corey Amaron Turner, 32, of Barboursville, and Dustin Lee Lyons, 31, of Milton, have been charged with accessory to first degree murder after the fact, according to a news release from the Mason County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies found three men with gunshot wounds in a home near Hannan Friday.

One of the victims previously hospitalized in the shooting, Ricky Pickens, has died due to his injuries, according to the news release. James Smith Jr. is still listed in critical condition. A third victim, now identified as Ivan Lambert, was found dead at the scene.

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office said it will be dismissing a charge of attempted murder against Brandon Allen Smith, 29, of Milton, and upgrading it to first degree murder.
