Marion Harold, 92, of Newton

Marion Harold, 92, of Newton, died Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at home.

She was born July 16, 1928 at Newton, the daughter of the late Rex H. and Nina M. Hensley Smith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Harold; grandchildren, Ashlee Jo Elmore and David Wayne Smith; stepmother, Ottie Smith; aunt and uncle, who raised her, Lee and Ruth Henley; brothers, Brooks, Charles and Dennis Smith; stepbrother, Jim Dolan; stepsister, Linda Ferrell.

Survivors include her children, Rita Blevins of Newton, Ron Bays of Corpus Christie, Texas, Shirley Bays, Deedrea Harold and Bill Harold all of Newton; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Marion was a homemaker, mother and farmer. She was a Christian and a member of the Uler Memorial Church, Uler Road, Newton.

Her pastimes included spending time with her family. She liked raising her goats and watching her burros.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 16 at the Harold Cemetery, Newton, with Pastor Philip Linger officiating. The visitation will be thirty minutes before the service.
