RECOUNT IN COUNTY COMMISSION RACE STARTS TODAY - Recount Requested By Arthur

Calhoun County Clerk Jean Simers said the recount of the November 3rd general election County Commission race will begin at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, November 19th in the circuit courtroom. Calhoun Commission candidate Craig Arthur (Independent) has requested a recount of his race against Matt Walker (Republican), the canvass saying he won by 44 votes. Simers said all candidates have to be notified three days in advance of the beginning of the recount and notices were delivered Friday by the sheriff's office. There will be a representative from the WV Secretary of State's office here during the recount to assure transparency.
