MONDAY WV COVID-19 REPORT: 401 New Cases Reported, 23 Additional Deaths Added

The USA has had 10 million COVID-19 cases with 240,000 deaths.

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources confirmed 401 new COVID-19 cases and 1 additional death in its report on Monday.

More than 1,300 new COVID-19 cases were announced by the DHHR over the weekend, with 655 cases announced on Saturday, and 662 cases announced on Sunday.

A COVID-19 outbreak at Taylor Health Care Center has been identified by Taylor County health officials on Monday.

While a number of WV public schools are closed, 42 are under quarantine due to COVID-19 cases at Culloden Elementary in Cabel.

The report from the DHHR stated that as of 10 a.m. on Monday, November 9, there have been a total of 854,290 laboratory results received for COVID-19, with 28,805 total cases and 530 of those cases resulting in deaths. Upon review, it has been determined that 23 additional deaths have also been confirmed, according to DHHR officials.
