WALKER ROAD MAN CRUSHED BY MOBILE HOME DIES FROM INJURIES - Victim Identified

UPDATE 11/08/2020 - William "Billy" Watkins, 56, of Walker Road, off Rt. 16 near Chloe, died from injuries Saturday when a mobile home he was attempting to level crushed him.

Watkins was a retired employee of the WV Department of Highways.

Watkins son, Phillip, age 19, was killed in a tragic accident in 2006.

UPDATE 11/7/2020 - A Walker Road man has died from injuries he received Saturday afternoon when a mobile home fell on him.

EMS personnel were attempting to fly the 56-year-old man by chopper when he died.

The Hur Herald will release the name of the victim later.

11/7/2020 - A Walker Road man received "critical injuries" Saturday afternoon when a mobile home collapsed on him. He had been assisting family members in leveling the mobile home.

His name will be released later.

The Upper West Fork Fire Department led the effort to extract him, the trailer reportedly falling on his chest. Neighbors assisted with the extraction.

Persons on scene said the injured man, about 60, coded twice, then responding to CPR.

He was being air-lifted by chopper from the Upper West Fork Park.
