It was a Republican sweep in Calhoun County and West Virginia.

Calhoun Clerk Jean Simers said it was likely the biggest turn-out, a record, with 2,977 voters, with 4,484 registered.

SHERIFF: Warren Basnett, 1,530; Jeff Starcher 1,353.

COUNTY COMMISSION: Matt Walker 1,075; Craig Arthur 1,034; Rick Sampson 779.

CALHOUN PROSECUTOR: Nigel Jefferies 1,421; Shannon Jones Johnson 1,377. LIBRARY LEVY: For 1,767; Against 1,104.

CALHOUN VOTE: FEDERAL/WV STATE OFFICES:

President Donald Trump 2,346;; Joe Biden 563. Trump received 79% of the vote, in 2016 he received 77%. US House of Representatives 2nd District: Alex Mooney 1,904; Cathy Kunkel 842.

Governor: Jim Justice 2,128; Ben Salango 622.

Secretary of State: Mac Warner 1,649; Natalie Tennent 1,555.

Auditor: John McCuskey 1,916; Mary Ann Claytor 737.

Treasurer: Riley Moore 1,536; John Perdue 1,186.

Commissioner of Agriculture: Ken Leonhardt 1,925; Bob Beach 748.

Attorney General: Patrick Morrisey 1,961; Sam Petsonk 798.

House Of Delegates 33rd (Calhoun Vote): Roger Hanshaw 1,754; Larry Cottrell 1,055 (Hanshaw defeated Cottrell 2,740 to 1,517 to win the seat)

State Senator 2nd District (Calhoun Vote) Mike Maroney 1,737; Josh Gary 901. (Fascinatingly Maroney, who was arrested twice for prostitution, won the seat 24,255 against Josh Gary, who received 19,087).
