KIDNAPPING AND TORTURE CASES AGAINST SEVEN CALHOUN RESIDENTS MOVING FORWARD

A number of kidnapping and torture cases against seven individuals are moving forward in Calhoun Circuit Court, according to Prosecutor Shannon Jones Johnson. Danny Lane, Shelbie Lane, Victor Carpenter, Sr., Abbie Sturms, Jennifer Love, and Danny Lane (Jr.) have appeared for pre-trial hearings. Jennifer Love entered a plea of guilty to two counts of conspiracy, a felony. She will be sentenced on January 7, 2021. The pre-trial hearings for the others were continued to December 9, 2020.
