| Larry Lee Donaldson, 63 of Orlando WV, departed this life suddenly in the afternoon hours of Saturday, October 31, 2020 while heading home from Weston, after spending the day with his loving wife Pat. He was born May 5, 1957 in Gilmer Co. WV, son of the late Walter L. and Pearl Losh Donaldson. Larry worked in both the construction and timber industries having been a laborer, dozer operator, and sawmill operator. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, whenever he could, riding ATVs, visiting his neighbors, spending time with family and friends, and spoiling his two wonderful grandkids, whenever possible. On June 20, 1978 Larry was united in marriage to Patricia Collins Donaldson who survives at their home near Orlando. Surviving is Larrys loving son, Danny Donaldson of Glenville; grandkids, who were his pride and joy, Taylor and Easton Donaldson of Weston; and 3 siblings, Cathy Sandmier and husband Scott of Mineral Wells WV, Edward Donaldson of Cox's Mill WV and James Donaldson of Glenville WV. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends. Along with his parents, Larry is preceded in death by a half-brother, George Ables. A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary and Cremation Services, Inc. 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville WV at 2:00 p.m. Thursday November 5, 2020 with Rev. Bill Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the McHenry II Cemetery near Sand Fork WV. Friends will be received from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary in Glenville. Ellyson Mortuary and Cremation Services, Inc. is assisting the family of Larry Lee Donaldson with arrangements.
