Roy H. Copen, 77, of Elizabeth

Roy H. Copen, 77, of Elizabeth WV, passed away Oct. 30, 2020, following a short illness.

He was the son of the late Burton and Ethel Smith Copen. He attended Wirt County High School and worked at Mt. State Steel until it closed.

Roy enjoyed hunting and horses. He was a Christian by faith.

He is survived by the love of his life, Sue Whited Copen; his children, Galen (Connie) Copen, Melissa (Jerry) Anderson, Sherri (Robert) Lockhart; and his step children, David, Cindy and Stephanie; grandchildren, Brittany (Andrea) Sall, Trace Copen, Ty (Rodney) Starkey, Dayton Copen, Travis Copen, Jessica Lockhart, Kevin Lockhart, Jared Anderson, and Hannah Anderso; great grandchildren, Kadence Lamp and Shyanne Starkey; and siblings Lloyd Copen, Betty Winans, Gladys Fordyce, and Mary Enoch; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 2, 2020 6-8 p.m. at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 3, 2020 with the Rev Dan Hopkins and Dorothy Fordyce-Milhoan officiating.

Interment at Owl Hill Cemetery.
