Michael Wayne Metheny, 31, is charged with first degree robbery, according to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the robbery happened about 3 p.m. at the Family Dollar in Rock Creek.

Metheny is being held in Southern Regional Jail on a $50,000 bond.
