Michael Israel Carter, 41, of Spencer, died Saturday, October 17, 2020, in Roane General Hospital, Spencer. He was a laborer, a 1997 graduate of Roane County High School and a veteran of the USMC. His pastimes included hunting, camping and spending time with his fur babies, Zoey and Precious. Survivors include his wife, Danielle M. Deel Carter; parents, Carla and Justin Hicks; sister and brother-in-law, Clarissa and Scott Davis of Leicester NC; niece, Kaitlyn; grandmother, Jean Marie Tidd; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 22 at the Otto Cemetery, Spencer, with the Rev. Daniel R. Whited officiating.
