David Nicholas, 67, of Orma

David Nicholas, 67, of Orma, died Friday, October 2, 2020, at home, after an extended illness.

He was born December 29, 1952, at Orma, the son of the late Denver and Nita Hall Nicholas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Wanda Carpenter and Joyce Stout.

David was a retired employee of ConServ, Spencer. His pastimes included farming and working on tractors, hunting and spending time at the Nicholas Hunting Camp, Bear Run.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Sharon Lou Rose Nicholas of Orma; sons and daughters-in-law, David Allen and Michelle Nicholas of Orma, Shannon Dean and Jennifer Nicholas of Five Forks, Travis DeWayne and Twila Nicholas of Chloe; nine grandchildren, Justin, Evan, Mason, Jarrett, Alexander, Abigail, Annabell, Haley and Kaley Nicholas; brothers and sisters-in-law, D. Dale and Mary Nicholas of Alabama, Pat and Beth Nicholas of Arnoldsburg; sister and brother-in-law, Robin and Luke McCumbers of Orma; half sisters and brothers-in-law, Emma and Jerry Howe of Orma and Missy and Tracy West also of Orma; uncle, Ross Hall of Akron, Ohio; aunt, Jean Rogers of Georgia; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6 at the Nicholas Brothers Cemetery, Nicut, with the Rev. Lester Tanner officiating. There will be no visitation.
