LENORE BOOHER - Millstone

Lenore Booher, 91, of Millstone, West Virginia, died March 15th in St. Joseph Hospital, Parkersburg.

Born in Calhoun County, she was a daughter of the late Chapman Ray and Nona Stalnaker Johnson. She was a 1930 graduate of Calhoun County High School and was retired from the Calhoun County Health Department with 35 years service, where she served as a County Registrar for many years. She was a member of the WV Retired Employees Association, Grantsville Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Grantsville Chapter of the White Shrine, Grantsville Chapter of the Rebekah Lodge and Knotts Memorial United Methodist Church of Grantsville.

Surviving are her husband, Charles Booher and her daughter, Judy Chalfant of Fredricksburg, Virginia; daughter-in-law, Oleva Gainer of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania; brother, Morford Johnson of Vienna, WV; 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Ann Gainer, one son, Larry Gainer and one granddaughter, Pamela Martin.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 19th at 11 a.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, WV. Rev. Mary Zimmer will officiate. Interment will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery, Grantsville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Order of the Eastern Star memorial services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
