Hallie Mae Minney, 83, and Fork

Hallie Mae Minney age 83 of Sand Fork, WV departed this earthly life in the early morning hours of Saturday, September 26, 2020 at her residence, with her loving family by her side.

She was born March 30, 1937 in Gilmer County, daughter of the late Delbert and Geneva (Harris) Parsons.

Hallie worked for the Glenville State College as a building service worker with 31 years experience. She also worked as a CNA at what is now known as the Genesis Health Care Center in Glenville and spent time as a home health provider in the community, assisting whoever needed it.

Hallie's true passion in life was caring for her family. She loved spoiling her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren whenever possible and was extremely proud of all of them. Hallie is also a Christian by faith and a longtime member of the Glenville Christian Chapel on College Street.

Hallie's favorite quote was as follows "If I die or if I stay, I'm a winner, either way. I love you."

On November 3, 1956 Hallie was united in marriage to Kesslie Benton Minney, who preceded her in death on July 31, 2013.

Surviving are 6 children, Darlene Meadows and husband Virgil of Normantown WV; Ellen Minney of Sand Fork, Kesslie "Buddy" Minney and wife Mary of Alum Bridge WV, David Minney of Sand Fork, Debra L. Huffman and husband Denzil of Glenville, and Sylvester Minney and wife Jean of Fort Gay WV; and 7 siblings, Cora Kimes of New Haven WV, Wanda Acord of Lester WV, Trish Knicely of Spencer WV, Kay Peters, Greta Peters and Madeline Duskey all of Glenville, and 1 brother, Jesse Parsons of McFarland WV.

Also surviving are 37 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.

Along with her parents and husband, Hallie is preceded in death by 6 siblings, Steve Parsons, Lenora Miller, Pearl Parsons, Eddie Parsons, Harry E. "Jack" Parsons and Chester Parsons.

A private family funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary and Cremation Services, Inc. 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville WV at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 1, 2020 with Pastor Jim Huff officiating. Burial will follow in the Collins Community Cemetery in Stumptown. Friends will be received from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the mortuary in Glenville.

In lieu of flowers, Hallie requests memorial donations be made to the Glenville Christian Chapel, P.O. Box 372, Glenville, WV 26351.

In accordance with the mandates set forth by the State of West Virginia, masks or some kind of facial covering must be worn inside the mortuary establishment and social distancing must be observed.
