LAST DAY REQUEST: HUR HERALD DONATIONS REQUESTED TO KEEP THINGS GOING - Is Help On The Way? Donations Are Really Appreciated

(09/27/2020)
During September we do an annual fundraiser to help keep the Hur Herald going.

Some years we have not.

It's hard to believe, but we've put 500,000 miles on cars doing the Hur Herald, now in our 25th year, with a mission of recording the life and times of the region both good and bad.

Perhaps the greatest reward has been doing stories about Calhoun people, from every hill to every hollow, and a large reader base that has followed their journeys.

If you are a reader and appreciate the availability, we ask that you now donate to keep the Herald going, the funds to be used for the purchase of equipment and help reduce the $2,000 annual Internet access costs.

We would appreciate any amount of donation, many have given $40 to $100 in the past.

The Herald receives a relatively small amount of public donations.

Yes, we know if every reader gave $1 we would have $70,000, but such doesn't happen.

Most readers take it for granted, opting like most folks to get it free. It's human nature.

Please consider donating a little now.

We appreciate it and thank you in advance.
