COVID-19 SATURDAY: 11 NEW DEATHS SATURDAY - Roane Total 47, Clay Total 34 (Two Deaths)

Eleven more coronavirus-related deaths were confirmed in West Virginia Saturday morning.

The state’s death total now stands at 308, according to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources.

The deaths confirmed on Saturday include a a 67-year old man from Cabell County, a 62-year old woman from Raleigh County, a 79-year old woman from Raleigh County, an 81-year old man from Putnam County, a 93-year old woman from Putnam County, a 71-year old woman from Kanawha County, a 78-year old man from Kanawha County, a 72-year old man from Kanawha County, a 66-year old man from Mercer County, a 79-year old man from Mercer County and a 48-year old man from Hardy County.

State health officials also added 191 new COVID-19 cases on the day, pushing the active total to 3,411. There have been 13,874 total cases in the state since the pandemic began.

The overall positive test rate remained at 2.72% while the daily positive test rate came in at 3.13% for the day.

There are currently 169 coronavirus-related hospitalizations in the state, including 58 in intensive care and 32 people on ventilators. All of those totals are down from the previous day.

At least 10,155 West Virginians have recovered from the virus.
