BAR KILLING - A man was killed and another man critically injured in a shooting Sunday morning outside a Berkeley County bar. Police said Vance Anthony Trotman Jr., 26, of Hagerstown, Md. died of gunshot wounds not long after the 2 a.m. shooting at Mountaineer Grill and Pub. A second man, Devon Gordon Jr., 29, of Martinsburg, is in critical condition at a Virginia hospital. According to Berkeley County Sheriff Curtis Keller, a patrolling deputy heard the gunshots and responded to the scene. Investigators are still trying to determine what lead up to the shootings. GUN DEATHS - A man who barricaded himself in a Crab Orchard residence Sunday is in critical condition after shooting himself. According to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department, the man shot himself as police were negotiating with him at the Maxine Apartments early Sunday morning. He had previously released his wife and children. Investigators believe the man was involved in the shooting of another man at the Dollar General in Shady Spring Saturday. They were attempting to interview him about the shooting when he barricaded himself. The names of those involved haven’t yet been released.
