NEW KANAWHA COUNTY CHURCH COVID-19 OUTBREAK

(09/07/2020)
A Kanawha County church said Sunday multiple people from its congregation have tested positive for the coronavirus, including the lead pastor

King’s River Worship Center was notified that an individual tested positive following an Aug. 30 service and the church announced on its Facebook page that other members have tested positive, according to a press release from the church. The church’s lead pastor Chris Kimbro was among those who tested positive.

“The way we, as a community, get through this is by working together and protecting each other,” Kimbro said in the news release.

Since learning of the positive tests for COVID-19, the church immediately initiated a more stringent cleaning program for its facilities, moved services from in-person to online and closed its office.
