JACKSON CO. COVID-19 OUTBREAK - Involving Funeral, Church

The Jackson County Health Department is investigating a COVID-19 outbreak that started at a funeral and spread to a church, a spokesperson said.

Ten residents are affected in the outbreak, the spokesperson said. The name of the church was not confirmed.

County health officials said free drive-thru testing will be conducted Thursday, Sept. 3, at Cedar Lakes. Hours are from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

On Monday, the health department reported the county had 26 active cases with six hospitalized. There have been 19 deaths.
