CLAY COUNTY HAS SECOND COVID-19 DEATH TUESDAY

The Clay County Health Department said the county has had its second coronavirus-related death. A post on the health department’s Facebook page said the resident died Tuesday. “As Clay County mourns this loss, let it serve as a reminder of the value of every life and the seriousness of this virus,” the post said. “Let us join together to protect each other by following all recommendations.” Clay County’s death was not included in Tuesday’s coronavirus update from the state Department of Health and Human Resources when eight deaths were reported. The Clay County Health Department said the county has 19 confirmed coronavirus cases. Sixteen have recovered, and one of the cases is active.
