A former Spencer postal worker has been accused of stealing a customer's food stamps. The man allegedly took $195 of
food stamps from a postal customer's package on February 13th. David Leon Banks, 33. of Charleston, was indicted Tuesday by a federal grand jury on one count of theft of mail by a postal employee. Banks was formerly a clerk at the US Post Office in Spencer. If convicted, Banks faces up to five years in prison and a $250.000 fine. |
