Christine Virginia Woods, 89, of Spencer WV, died August 2, 2020, at Miletree Center, Spencer. She was born October 28, 1930 at Elkview WV the daughter of the late Hansford and Hettie Face Strickland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons, Joe Edward Woods and Roy Woods; and brother, Kermit Strickland. Mrs. Woods was a retired employee of the Roane County Board of Education and a member of the Spencer Tabernacle, Spencer. Survivors include her children, Jeannie McClain of Madison WV, Patsy Steele of Seth WV, David Woods of Millwood WV, Sandra Cain of Pritchard WV, Lavonda Jarvis, Nancy Woods and Mary Woods all of Spencer, Karen Woods of Zephyrhills FL; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter; brothers, Hubert Strickland and Jesse Strickland both of Clendenin WV. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 5th at John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Rev. Loren Price officiating. Burial will be in Clover Cemetery, Clover.
