PM MONDAY: 94 NEW WV CASES COVID-19

West Virginia added another 55 new coronavirus cases Monday afternoon with a daily total increase of 94 cases.

The state Department of Health and Human Resources said in a news release that the state had a total of 6,054 cases as of 5 p.m. Active cases declined 89 from the morning’s report and were listed at 1,616.

More than 265,000 tests have been conducted, and the overall positive test rate was at 2.28%. The daily positive test rate was at 2.32%.

No new deaths were reported, and the total remained at 106.

Hospitalizations were listed at 85, with 37 in intensive care and 10 on a ventilator. Recoveries were reported at 4,332.
