AM MONDAY: THREE NEW COVID-19 DEATHS, 39 NEW CASES

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources confirmed 39 new coronavirus cases and three additional deaths caused by the virus in its morning report on Monday.

The report from the DHHR stated that as of Monday, July 27, there have been a total of 263,669 (+2,078) laboratory results received for COVID-19 with 5,999 (+39) total cases and 106 (+3) of those cases resulting in deaths.

The DHHR has confirmed the deaths of a 60-year-old woman from Wyoming County, an 84-year-old woman from Mineral County and a 93-year-old woman from Brooke County as the state’s three latest deaths caused by COVID-19.

According to the DHHR’s website, there are currently 1,702 (+13) active cases and 4,191(+23) recovered cases in the state.
