Alpheas "Frank" Richards, 75, of Parkersburg

Alpheas "Frank" Richards, 75, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 13, 2020.

Frank was born in Big Bend, West Virginia. He was the son of the late Dewey and Edna (Taylor) Richards.

He was a Vietnam Veteran who served from 1967 through 1969 in the Seventh Battalion of the Eighth Artillery.

He retired from Shell (Kraton) Chemical after 24 years of service.

Frank was a trustee and member of the Veto Gospel Tabernacle Church. He was an active member and teacher of the Church of God of Prophecy, until it closed.

He enjoyed country music and being surrounded by his family and friends, especially his grandchildren, who brought him a great deal of joy.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jackquline (Jackie), his sons, Allan (Lori) Richards and Kevin (Barbara) Richards, and his grandchildren, Dylan, Layne, Taylor, Brian, and Sarah, all of Vincent OH. Four sisters, Lenora (Harvey) Johnson, Patty (Larry) Cunningham, Carrie (Jim) Settlage, and Sherry McDonald, along with many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first born daughter, Carol Sue, who died at birth, and his sister, Naomi McGraw.

Funeral Service will Saturday, 11:00 a.m. July 18, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Wayne Vogelsong and Pastor Aaron Frederick. Visitation will be Friday, July 17, 2020, 3 to 4 p.m., for the elderly, and 4 to 8 p.m., for the public to attend. Burial will follow the funeral service at Sunset Memory Gardens.
