PM TUESDAY: 94 NEW COVID VIRUS CASES IN WV TUESDAY

New positive coronavirus cases jumped another total of 94 Tuesday as the pace continued at a rapid clip in West Virginia.

The state Department of Health and Human Resources said the state had a total of 4,407 positive virus cases as of 5 p.m.

No new deaths were reported, and the death total remained at 97.

The number of active COVID-19 cases declined two from the morning report with a total of 1,328. DHHR officials said 2,982 people have recovered from the virus.

More than 213,000 tests have been conducted in the state with a cumulative positive percentage of 2.06%. The daily positive percentage was at 3.19%.

According to the latest data, 59 are hospitalized, with 24 in intensive care and seven on a ventilator.
