CALHOUN GRAND JURY BRINGS INDICTMENTS

A Calhoun Grand Jury has indicted Kyle Gregory Farrell, 22, on four counts of sexual assault in the third degree, statutory, all felonies; three counts of use of minors in filming sexually explicit conduct, all felonies; one count of the use of obscene matter with intent to seduce a minor, a felony; five counts of employment or use of minor to produce obscene matter or assist in doing sexually explicit conduct, all Felonies; and one count of Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree, a misdemeanor.

The case was investigated by Deputy Wiley Raines of the Calhoun Sheriff’s Office, the charges initially brought in September, 2019.

A Pink Road, Calhoun man, William Thomas Abict, 30, has been indicted for attempted murder of his girlfriend Jamie Bailey. According to a criminal complaint, she was purposely struck by a vehicle driven by Abicht.

The Grand Jury met on July 7, 2020 in Calhoun County with Judge Anita Harold Ashley presiding. After hearing cases presented by Prosecutor Shannon S. Johnson and after due deliberation, the Grand Jury returned twelve indictments.

Larry Robert Joseph, 39 and Mary Ellen Gibson, 36, were indicted on two counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, both Felonies; two counts of Conspiracy, both felonies. Larry Robert Joseph in the same case was also indicted on two other counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, both Felonies. This case was investigated by Sheriff Jeffrey S. Starcher of the Calhoun Sheriff’s Department.

Deandre D. Brownridge, 24, was indicted on one count of Attempt to Commit a Felony, punishable by less than life, a Felony; one count of Attempt to Escape from Custody, a Felony; one count of Obstructing an Officer, a Misdemeanor; one count of Battery on an Officer, a Misdemeanor; and one count of Assault on an Officer, a Misdemeanor. This case was investigated by Sgt. C. J. Weekley of the West Virginia State Police.

Ryan Ashley Williams, 30, and Tiffany Renay Davis, 31, were indicted on five counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, all Felonies; five counts of Conspiracy, all felonies. Ryan Ashley Williams in the same case was also indicted on one count of Destruction of Property, a Felony; one count of Reckless Driving, a Misdemeanor; one count of Obstructing an Officer, a Misdemeanor; and one count of No Insurance, a Misdemeanor. This case was investigated by Corporal B. E. Young of the West Virginia State Police.

Kenneth Dountain Meadows, 52, was indicted on one count of Possession with Intent to Deliver and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a Felony. This case was investigated by Corporal B. E. Young of the West Virginia State Police.

Ronald Leo Huffman, 64, was indicted on four counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver and Delivery of a Controlled Substance 2nd or subsequent Offense, all Felonies; three counts of Possession by Prohibited Person of a Firearm, all Felonies. This case was investigated by TFC D. C. Moore of the West Virginia State Police.

Ronnie Allen Rush, 33, was indicted on one count of Arson, 4th Degree, Attempt to Commit Arson, a Felony; one count of Obstructing an Officer, a Misdemeanor; one count of No Insurance, a Misdemeanor; one count of Operating a Vehicle With an Expired Motor Vehicle Inspection Sticker, a Misdemeanor; and one count of Driving Without a License, first offense, a Misdemeanor. This case was investigated by Sgt. C. J. Weekley of the West Virginia State Police.

Brian Lee Husk, 29, was indicted on one count of Child Abuse Resulting in Injury, a Felony; one count of Obstructing an Officer, a Misdemeanor; one count of Wilful Disruption of Governmental Processes, a Misdemeanor; and one count of Assault on a Governmental Representative, a Misdemeanor. This case was investigated by Deputy Wiley Raines of the Calhoun Sheriff's Office.

Indictments returned against individuals are merely charges at this time and are not indications of guilt. All the above Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
