Annette Marie Spaur, 60, of Spencer

Annette Marie Spaur, 60, of Spencer, died Monday, June 29, 2020, at home, after a sudden illness.

She was born April 4, 1960, in West Virginia, the daughter of the late Dale Floyd Spaur and Jeannette Lee Simons.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Gerald Simons; sister, Becky Moss; and brother, Jerry Simons.

Annette was a homemaker. Her pastimes included cooking, quilting, flower and vegetable gardening, and reading.

Survivors include her son and his fiancée, Jason Spaur and Denise Bays of Spencer; grandson, Logan Alexander Spaur of Spencer; granddaughter, Sarah Rain Greenfield of Washington; brothers, Dennis Spaur of Arnoldsburg and Tom Simons of Gassaway; sisters, Nannette Sampson of Arnoldsburg, Tammy Houchin of Orma and Terry Carter of Parkersburg; longtime partner, Mark Myers of Spencer; cousins, Laura Pauley of Charleston and Angie Potter of Glenville; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 4 at John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Bob Shannon officiating. Burial will be in Blessed Hope Cemetery, Spencer. The visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
