WOMAN EXTRACTED FROM COLLISION - Two Taken To Hospital, Wood Man

A Wood County man was cited for driving left of center after his GMC truck collided with Audrey Smith of Big Bend. Smith and a passenger in her 1996 Buick, Joan Blake, were taken to Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center for treatment by Calhoun EMS. The vehicles collided on Route 16 at Big Springs about 2 p.m. yesterday. The Smith vehicle was described as a total loss. The passenger in the car was extracted by the Jaws of Life by members of the Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department. Roger Rawson of Belleville was issued a ticket by Deputy Sheriff Carl Ballengee.
